Our History
In 1945 E.L. Schneider (Grandpa) and C.B. Hayes started
Home Furniture in
Lawrenceburg, IN. The company soon
expanded across the street and renovated the D. Bishop
Saw Mill at 20 East Center Street where Home
Furniture Flooring Center is still located. In the
1950’s Charles Brandel Sr. (Dad) joined the growing
company.
In years to come Charles, along with Bud Ruble, took
over after the retirement of Schneider and Hayes. Still
growing in 1969, new showroom construction began
on Highway 50.
Later, Charles' sons Chuck and Joe took over when Bud
and Charles retired.

Chuck Brandel
Currently Chuck and Joe still manage Home Furniture with
the assistance of their sister Sarah and Chuck's wife
Debbie. Chuck has recently overseen the remodeling and
addition of a spectacular 10,000 square feet to the
Highway 50 showroom. He's been involved in the
furniture business most of his life and many customers
ask for him by name every time they come in.
Chuck's dedication to customer service is a big reason
"there's no place like Home".

Joe Brandel
Besides
helping to run the furniture side of the business, Joe's
primary focus is managing the Home Furniture Flooring Center warehouse on
Center Street and overseeing the recent opening of a
sister flooring store in Hebron, Kentucky named the Home
Flooring Center. Joe's knowledge of the many types
of hardwood, carpet, tile, vinyl and other materials
makes him a valuable counselor to customers. With
Joe's help they can find the right flooring to best suit
their needs, style and budget.

Sarah
Burris
After
several years working for a flower company Sarah decided to
join the family furniture business. Sarah
assists in the design and layout of the floor displays
and in purchasing the great selection of accessories
Home Furniture offers. She is happy to help
customers in the store or even at their home in making
their decorating decisions.

Debbie Brandel
Debbie handles much of
the decorating and accessory purchasing that goes on in
the store and is instrumental in assisting customers in
making decisions about their interior design.
She will
be glad to come to your home to help you with your
choices or she can meet with you at the store.
Like everyone at Home Furniture she is committed to
making your experience a pleasant and productive one.

Nancy Drew
Nancy Drew has many years of experience and assists customers in the store as well as at their home in making decorating decisions. She also oversees a variety of the tasks in the office and participates in setting up the store displays.

Delivery Team
Behind those cool shades
is the leader of the nicest bunch of delivery guys
you'll ever meet! As head of the team Tim even has
treats for your dog so even the canine is happy when
he's done! Customers comment again and again about
how courteous, punctual and helpful the delivery team is
from moving the old furniture out of the way, to dusting
the new furniture as it's set up, to taking the time to
explain just how the it all operates.
