Our History
In 1945 E.L. Schneider (Grandpa) and C.B. Hayes started
Home Furniture in Lawrenceburg, IN. The company soon
expanded across the street and renovated the D. Bishop
Saw Mill at 20 East Center Street where Home
Furniture Flooring Center is still located. In the
1950’s Charles Brandel Sr. (Dad) joined the growing
company.
In years to come Charles, along with Bud Ruble, took
over after the retirement of Schneider and Hayes. Still
growing in 1969, new showroom construction began
on Highway 50.
Later, Charles' sons Chuck and Joe took over when Bud
and Charles retired.
